Stuart began playing keyboards at a very young age, the keyboard stage was very short lived lasting only around 2 maybe 3 years. This however would become bedrock for the later re-kindling of the skills he had taught himself with the formation of Whitewater.

He began playing the guitar in his teens, mainly staying on rhythm guitar with his early bands, again until the formation of Whitewater, when he started playing and writing the lead sections of the tracks. The realisation that making the guitar “sing” and not just supporting the lead guitarist became a revelation he would thrive on and he would begin to Introduce the varying styles of playing he had been listening to for so many years into the music he and Paul had begun to write.

Stuart plays lead, rhythm and bass guitars, keyboards, samples and programming.
